Shana Yearwood PhD

Dr. Shana Yearwood is the team’s Lead DEI Consultant and has over a decade of experience working as a Human Resources consultant. With a Ph.D. from Columbia University, her expertise is in Talent and Organizational Development Strategies, Diversity and Inclusion Consulting, and Training and Development. Shana partners with both nonprofit and corporate clients to better understand their current state, using employee feedback and industry data to inform strategic diversity and workforce development solutions.
As a human capital strategist at Booz Allen Hamilton, Shana specialized in talent management and leadership and team development. During her tenure, she led the creation and assessment of multiple career and leadership development programs, including company-wide mentoring and coaching services. Shana is recognized for helping leaders and teams increase their awareness and brings this lens to her work as a diversity, equity, and inclusion consultant, preparing them for systemic change.
Currently living in Northern VA with her husband, Shana enjoys hiking, baking, reading fiction, and quality time with family and friends.
