Eric is a consultant, advisor, researcher, and speaker on Black history and racial inequities. He brings a sociohistorical lens to his research and advisory services, lecturing and moderating discussions on racism’s social, political, and economic implications in academic, corporate, and community settings. Currently a Ph.D. Candidate in Africana Studies at Brown University, Eric’s research interests broadly include African American history, racial health disparities, and structural racism. His current research focuses on the intersection between the environmental justice movement and health inequality.
As a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion consultant, Eric works with organizations to deliver insightful keynotes and training that connect our shared history with the present. His sessions create authentic conversations that enable ongoing learning, build empathy and trust, and lay the foundation for systemic transformational change. His interdisciplinary training and approach to storytelling inspires personal reflection and call to action.
Eric currently lives in the greater Washington, DC area where he is finishing his dissertation. He enjoys biking and hiking in his spare time.
